Very Appropriate For 20cm of Snow

Very eventful weekend.  Started with a 24hr massive blackout (in the middle of a cold snap. -20 degrees C.  Wonderful) with no heat or electricity or computer.  Then running around doing errands, collecting transcripts, paying for said transcripts and sitting in a library for 5 hours reading and selecting plays.

Sounds so familiar.  I might as well be wearing one of these:

images collected from jak&jill and superfantasticpicturetime.

And this I found through The Foxy Man.  With accompanying appreciation for the origin of all those highly stylized sexual fetishism-inspired editorials and spreads you see popping up here and there.  I'm sure had it not been for the magazine that this and other images like it come from, this shirt would not exist.

I Should Just Turn This into A Shoe Blog or Something.

Nicholas Kirkwood.  Very exciting guy.  And another example of little details being added to heels and toes.

I don't remember where I found these, but I did, and they are exciting.  The second pair are Stella McCartney.
inunrelatednews:  one month 'till my b-day! woot.
EDIT: It's easier to post this link from JAK&JILL than it is to post & credit all of the ones I love.  Because I'd say I'd line up for 90% of them.

Cubism

These are all Pierre Hardy.
Some woman at Holt Renfrew thought I could afford a version of that shoe on the bottom left there.  It looks like a gold square is sliding off your shoe - a lovely trick for the eyes.

Something to trick people with at parties.

1,2 Buckle Your Shoe

More shoes to ruin your keyboard over.
I think I only like these because they try a little harder than other boots to get you to pay attention.  What would be interesting is if one were to scrawl some little haiku over the straps?
Maybe a Nursery Rhyme or Two.
